I have a 5 year old town home that the kitchen faucet is now leaking. It sprays out the side.

I went and got a new one because we're moving to a new home this next week and I don't want the new home buyer having issues with the sink when he gets here.

I am trying to disconnect the copper tubing for hot/cold under the sink and there appears to be 2 bolts or screws on there which perhaps are supposed to turn opposite directions... one is copper, one is metal. When I turn one the other one turns with it thus it isn't loosening.

At this point I am pretty frustrated... Are the two screws supposed to turn different directions or are they glued?

Again, this is the screws or bolts that are attached to the bottom of the sink hot and cold water connections.

If you are totally confused you could buy the identical faucet and then look at the install instructions and do in reverse. You do know that the faucet you have has a lifetime guarantee and would be replaced free of charge don't you? Moen, buy it for looks, buy it for life.

You need two wrenches. (see Moen #7400 image) one to secure the faucet supply nut and the other to turn the nut on the bottom counterclockwise. Don't forget to turn off the water at the angle stops. Good luck, Tom
