Well, I will be divorced in approx. 2 months and have been trying to work it out over the past 8-9 months to no avail. The relationship was passionless, there was no communication and he was very verbally abusive to both me and my son from a previous marriage. I have made the decision to leave and get a divorce. He wants us to be together but I feel I need to go.
At nearly the same time I received a joke from a mutual 'friend' of ours via text and the next thing I know... we were meeting and became very quickly and passionatly involved. We have been attracted to each other for a long while. The problem was that all we talked about was how to break the news to the soon to be ex. Even though I had broken up with him, he still had to be told multiple times and he still loves me.
I told my 'friend' that I needed some time to back the ex down some more and felt panicky after having sex so quickly. I did this the day after we had sex... I think that freaked him out and also all our mutual friends might make a big deal out of us and potentially pick sides. He told me that he wanted to wait and that if our feelings were here now than they would be here later. Wait? OK, I have not heard from him but I see him quite often at my work. We went through a very awkward stage were it was totally uncomfortable to be around each other because of the wait... but after a month going by it is getting some better. Still no contact. I say him playing basketball with my ex last week... Do you think he's waiting? I can't stop think about him...
