It seems whenever I open certain windows, a Netflix po-up appears in the background and slows the ability to open that window. How can I prevent this?

What browser (including version) are you using?
What "certain windows" cause the Netflix popups?

Best answer - switch to FireFox. It's a much faster browser than Internet Explorer, and the popup controls are superior in every way.

I haven't had a single... NOT ONE... popup of any kind since I switched 3 months ago.

Second best answer - install a standalone popup blocker. The one I used and recommended to people was PopupManager:

Free Download Popup Manager 1.0.2.1 - Popup Manager allows popup windows only when you want to see them (http://www.scanwith.com/download/Popup_Manager.htm)

What browser version are you using? If your using IE, on the top bar go to HELP and then click ABOUT and tell us which version your using, if not 7 you may want to upgrade this will help.

Although many recommend Firefox, some computers have a funky time running this, I personaly don't prefer Firefox for anything other than a secondary browser

...some computers have a funky time running this,True, Mac and Linux computers would have difficulty.

Windows computers will run it swimmingly, and be the better for it.

Mac OS X runs Firefox 3 just fine (why would you say Mac and Linus computers would have difficulty? ). It's my main browser, and I prefer it to Safari. I've also run Firefox with no problems on every version of Windows since 2000 with no problems. If anyone is having a problem with it "running funky", there must be something else going on with their PCs/Macs.

I highly recommend Windows users use Firefox rather than Internet Explorer for everyday browsing (in my last position, I forbade the use of IE for browsing). Save IE for Windows updates only. With the Adblock Plus plugin, you won't have to worry about popups again (and can whitelist pages where you do want popups).

Lol it's a topic just like politics, why yes Firefox may be better in many aspects, I personaly find that version 3 is running slower for people with slower computers, I'm seeing it use more resources, also I just don't like it, and I use all 3 browsers; IE, Firefox3, and Sarfari, and trying to use Chrome

While yes you are experts and I do respect you, I am saying this is what I've seen,,

However this has nothing to do with the Question at hand :)

It does, in that Firefox provides a great plugin - AdBlock Plus - for managing popups. That alone makes it worth the original poster considering a switch, In my opinion.
