Why are you trying to get pregnant at 16? Please, please stop and think about this. Do you have any idea how much money it takes to raise a child? Are you in school? Do you have jobs? Your own place to live? You have your whole life ahead of you. You will miss out on so many things if you become a mother now. Why not wait until you are in the best financial and emotional situation possible before doing this.

Please wait. You are WAY too young to be a mother. Please don't tell me that you are mature for your age. I am talking medically here. Do you know the possible serious medical consequences of pregnancy at your age? Here are just a few.

1) Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, which can lead to Eclampsia (seizures)
2) Gestational Diabetes
3) Cephalopelvic Disproportion (the only cure for that is a C-Section)
4) Premature delivery, which can cause the baby permanent physical or mental disabilities.
5) Etc.

With all that said, do you have a good job with health insurance? Can you afford at least $100 a month for diapers, $150 or more a month for formula? How about clothes, babies grow out of them in a couple weeks' time, can you get new clothes twice a month?

How will you afford the close to a million dollar hospital bill if you have a premature baby that needs to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for several months?

Hun, I speak from experience, I am a labor and delivery nurse who has delivered babies to women of all ages.

While you may think you are ready to have a baby, your body is not ready to carry a baby.
