68 year old successful business man. Is usually at least 2 hours late, and makes a joke about it! Says everyone who know him, understands this. What does this mean?

2 hours is really unacceptable. I could see 15 - 20 minutes maybe even a half hour but 2 hours? He's not valuing anybody else's time but his own and that is so rude. I have an isse with generally running late, so as I have gotten older I make it a point to be respectful and leave earlier so that I avoid it. He does it because he can. Will continue to until it makes a difference to him. So far no one has confronted him on it.

Sounds to me like he hasn't taken the "jokes" about his tardiness to heart.
He has a total disregard for other people's time and how long they have to wait on him.
As a business man he should understand if you present him a bill for your time (the 2 hours you waited for him) ;)

If you continue to stay with him and he don't change, you just don't be on time. For example: if your have plans at 6pm and you know he is going be 2 hours late, then show up at 8pm.
I must say, like the other posters I wouldn't put up with this because it is unfair to you. Speak up about this to him. If he is an business man would he be 2 hours late to a meeting? Most likely no so why do it to you.
