How do you clean wood floors without slipping and breaking your neck? I have Murphey's Oil Soap but I have also heard water is not good for wood floors. Suggestions?

Excessive water and mopping is not good for wood floors, especially laminate wood flooring. There are a lot of products that are safe for wood floors, I use Murphy's and ring the mop out really good. As for slipping and breaking your neck, be careful and mop so that you are not stepping on the wet areas / mop your way out of the room and let it dry.

My floors aren't laminate, they are real wood. So, Murphey's is still okay to use? How often do you think I should mop?

Murphy's may not be good for real hardwood, it may leave a haze if used too often. There are cleaners specifically made for wood floors and if your floors were pre-finished hardwood the manufacturer will have cleaning instructions.

Clean water and a small amount of vinegar is all you need for the floor. Dunk a terry cloth into the bucket and wring it out as much as you can, drape over a push broom and mop to your hearts content, it won't be slippery. Her is what the floor doctor says, you need to read several paragraphs to get to the vinegar.
