I have an oval 12X24' Fusion above the ground pool. It was installed professionally two years ago. We are moving. I am taking the pool with us. Can I save and reuse the liner? I recall hearing that you couldn't reuse liners and I'm wondering if I can. If not, what is the reason?

I would be thankful for a straight answer.

Thank you.

The straight answer is maybe! I know that is not what you want to hear, but it really depends on the condition of the liner. They become brittle over time, then you go to move them and they crack.

If it is still pretty pliable, and you are careful reinstalling it, you should be able to reuse it. The important thing is to number all of the parts when disassembling and get all of the parts back in the same spot. Put a few marks on the liner to get it realigned correctly also. One other thing that will help is to do put it up on a hot sunny day. Unfold and let the liner lay out in the sun for awhile to help it be as pliable as possible.

The newer it is the better the chances are it can be reused, the older they are the easier they damage, and this does not take into consideration the mil of you liner. The less expensive the liner the thinner they are and they are prone to tearing or losing their form and sagging on you.

Don't let that liner get or stay dry for any length of time. Once it is removed it should be set back up and water put back in it as soon as possible. It should not be handled roughly use only socks or bare feet on the bottom of the pool liner.

Chances are slim that you will get this liner to work for you. Actually the cahnces are slim that you will get the pool back up without using a pro who will refuse to install a used liner.
