How about a portable washer for under 300 bucks? (see image) check it out at; Portable Washing Machines (http://www.ajmadison.com/b.php/Portable+Washers/N~745)
These washers drain into the sink and use the water from the kitchen sink to fill the tub. Good luck in your new place. Tom
