Would you be offended if you were asked to get an STD test? I've never asked a girl to do one before but recently its an issue which has been on the front of my mind when I've been pursuing females. What's the best way to tackle this without being rude or causing bad feelings?

I don't think it would be an issue if you plan to be sexually active with said person. Tell them you will get one too, say it's just for peace of mind all around to make sure there isn't something unknown on either side of the field. You can have one done for her and her for you, that way it isn't just one sided.

I understand your concern in today's world. Couldn't you just strape on a condom at first? I don't think asking for an STD test would be very romantic. I don't think you would get that sweet thing.

Some things aren't 100% blocked by condoms, as some STDs are highly contagious. So even if you wore one to prevent that there is still a chance of transmission. There is nothing wrong with being a little safe, that way if you ever do want to go without the condom there is no uncertainty

That's one of the very reasons you go slow, and get to know someone. Once your comfortable, and serious, you can both go together to get tested. Till then safe sex. There are no guarantees, so be smart about this.
