When I finish making a DVD from my hard drive it goes automatically to my PLEXTOR external drive, through Nero. But when it's finished it will ONLY play through the computer and not on a regular DVD player, because it's not Finalized. Why is it not finalized when it is finished copying on the Plextor? I certainly do indicate the source drive and destination drive before starting the transfer. So am I not doing something I should?

I personally use Nero Express and there is a box to check or uncheck to burn multi-session. If checked, it will not finalize the burn but if burn multi-session is unchecked, it will finalize the burned disc
