Is it possible for plantar fasciitis to cause pain on the left side of my left foot?
I am having severe pain in the left side of my left foot upon putting weight on it. The weird thing is that pain lessens with walking and weight bearing, unless I step on uneven ground or a rock, etc in which case the pain comes back with a vengeance. If I am off my feet for a while I will experience pain upon standing up and walking for a while. No pain when not bearing weight. Suspected stress fracture(s) of 5th metatarsal, but that was ruled out by x-rays yesterday. Dr. thinks it is plantar fasciitis, but my research on the net keeps telling me I should be experiencing pain on my heel, not on the side of the foot. Does it make sense that I could be having pain on the far left side of my left foot cause by plantar fasciitis?
TIA
