Anybody ever hear of airmax and have spec info on the coils?

Would a model # AC48/22+NBEXV4 mean it's a 4 ton coil per the 48 in the model number?

Would having an old 4 ton coil mismatched to a new 2.5 ton SEER 13 condenser cause lack of cooling on warm days?

Also what does a sp6 "start cap" do?. was installed due to TXV valve

The larger evap coil will do a good job of humidity removal but probabaly not be able to drop the temperature of the air across the coil as well as a matched coil would do. If the expansion valve is a hard shut off type, the start capacitor will give the compressor a boost on start up . The hard shut off requires a start capacitor to help on start up due to the fact that the refrigerant pressures do not equalize during shut down and the compressor has to start against the higher head pressure. Good luck, Mike
