92 Honda Civic LX w/ 1.5L and manual transmission
The car will randomly not start, about 1 a month it does this. The last time I did notice that the fuel pump does not turn on but the car does try to turn over. You can then let the car set for a little while and it will start up and work fine for several days. The mechanics had it for a week and could find nothing wrong with it. The check engine light doesn't come on indicating a problem. I do not have a multimeter so checking some things will not work for me.

In the last year I have replaced the thermostat, plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, ignition coil, ignition control module, and fuel filter. Also I ran a bottle of super concentrated fuel cleaner through it after the tune up.

Thank you for any help

Replace the main relay.

Thank you, I figured if the pump or ECU was going bad it would GO bad but I wasn't sure if a relay would act that way. I will try replacing it this weekend.

If the CEL ever came on, I would be more inclined to focus on the ECM. I would still recommend that you read the link below:

Just for the heck of it, clean the main ECM ground--easy to do and it only takes a minute.
