My friend is having trouble getting into certain sites--even becoming a member of Yahoo. I couldn't log into Yahoo on his computer with my ID and password.

What is the problem with his computer? Does the following message that popped up on his computer have anything to do with the problem? He wrote, "my computer says that my current security settings prohibit running activex controls on this page, as a result the page may not display correctly".

Yes, he needs to lower his security settings at Tools>Internet Options.

Thank you very much, Scott.

May you receive a blessing from God above.

Firstly check the 'Cookie' settings. It has to be enabled. Its under sinternet options >> security.

Secondly, did he install any firewall lately. It might be a cause of the problem. If it's the case, you got to go through the setting.

Thirdly, update IE and do not set any other options.
