Well I got caught shopplifting
For the first time at a mervyns
And I was wondring what they might do to me
I stold about $66 worth of stuff (2 pairs of jeans )
And when they were talking to us they didn't even talk to me at all
Like not eve they talked more to the other girls than with me
And I was the only person who called an adult
They told me that I had to go to corut
And this is my first offance :eek: :confused:
And I live I n san diego California

I can only speak from a uk point of view... over here you would have to make a court appearance, if it's your first offence you could get a fine and be ordered to pay the court costs, which can be quite a large amount, you would also be put on probation and ordered too report every week for a certain period.

You could also get community service to do.

Not forgeting that you will now have a criminal record for several years preventing you from getting certain jobs.

Is this going to Juv court, if so, they can do a lot, but normally on first offense, you are going to get probation, and fines to pay
