I have recently replaced the fuel pump in a 1989 escort.
Everything works when it is sitting on the ground. When I put it into place it doesn't work.

Any ideas.

My nephew bought the car to drive back and forth to school in so he doesn't have a lot of money for a mechanic to fix it.

CHECK THE FUEL FILTER?

Wireing?
