Hello,

I am currently in process to receive my Green Card. My husband is a citizen and we are trying to file 2007 taxes together (I am not allowed to work yet but he is my sponsor). My husband can not file for taxes until I will apply for ITIN. Is there is any way to attach my W-7 request for ITIN together with his tax return? Or should I apply for ITIN first and than file the taxes? Most accountant file taxes on line and we have no idea what to do. Also, we live in California if that's matter. Thank you!

Apply for ITIN first... the file tax.

Just as Lawanwadee said,
Attach your W-7 form with your Married-file-jointly return.

You need to file paper return instead of filing that on-line.

Here's the website you may want to check out:
Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) (http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96287,00.html#apply)

God bless!
