I just bought a Laptop on Ebay, and want to put in my hard drive. However, I am having trouble getting the thing open!!
Can someone walk me through what I have to do just to get it open. I have removed all the screws that I can see, but it is still catching or being held by something in a couple of different places.
It's a Panasonic Toughbook CF-47. Thanks!

Did you try Panasonic's WEB site?
You can go here for support including downloading manuals
Panasonic Toughbook -- Support (http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/support.asp)

Here's where you'll find the manual, but it's no help:
Operating Manuals for Panasonic Products (http://service.us.panasonic.com/operman/Default.aspx)
I figured it would be easy to find a link describing or showing how to open that case, but I'm sorry to say I was unable. Hang in there, though, we've got some good folk who check this board daily.

I came across this site while searching for how to replace the toughbook hard drive. I did find a place with instructions and graphics too :D showing how to replace the hard drive.

It's a zip file with a pdf file - check pages 31 and 32 not too hard to do so - actually able to do it with no tools needed :p
Here is the removal page saved as a jpeg
I hope this helps you as it had me
