I want to use this product, not only is it good for you, but it improves the skin. But lets say, I get the skin color I want, but also want to use the pills for it's benefits, would I keep getting lighter? Or should I take breaks to keep the color I want?

It should work for most people, but I'm already lighter skinned and really don't want to end up pale like my sis =X so I should've guessed reducing intake will keep it in check. Thanks.

If you are not going to take a higher dose then it's safe and will not lighten U. moreover U should not take vitC.
