I am running an underground wire from a meter pole to a new 30/40 shop with an efficiency apartment in the back. I will have a 150 amp box in the shop. What kind of wire do I need to purchase to in stall underground from the meter pole?

Romex if allowed by city code.

USE cable. Wait for Stanforty or Washington.

Sorry, just realised we are in the construction site. Repost to the Electrical site.

stevobyrnzie, NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT "romex", if by romex you mean typical NM-B.

Gole, WHY 4/0??

Reed, where are you coming from with this feed?
The panel may be 150A, but what did you want to feed it with? 150A is an odd size for a sub-panel, and not worth doing if this will be a main panel.

We will need A LOT more detail if we are going to effectively help you.
