I've went to the clinic and got put on the depo shot, but after getting the first shot I never went back for the 3month follow up. I got my period during those 3 months, and have had it for 5months straight. I've had unprotected sex with my boyfriend while on my period still, could I be pregnant even though I'm on my period? And if so how would I know since I can't count on waiting the 2 weeks for my missed period.

Honey, I'm not particularly in the same position as you... I didn't have sex on my period but I did have unprotected multiple times with my boyfriend. The only thing that I can tell you, is go to the health department or planned parent hood, or even a free clinic in your area and get checked. It's the best possible way to know for sure.

Take a pregnancy test or go to a clinic like Ash suggested. Having unprotected sex is always a bad idea unless you are in a committed relationship ready to have a baby. Seems pretty irresponsible to just not go back for your next appointment. I wish you much needed luck

Not to scare you but when I was pregnant for my daughter I had my period - regular up until about the 16th week of pregnancy. Isn't the depo shot suppose to stop your period?
The longer you wait, the less they will be able to help you if you are pregnant, and I would keep in mind, that if you are, there are other issues.
