Kenmore 110.60812990 240V dryer won't start. No lights, no buzzer, no drum turn, nothing. Breaker never blew. Voltage at the four wire receptacle is okay. Dryer is seven years old but used 3 times per day 5 days per week. (Family of five sports nuts.)

I've checked the 4 wire cord for voltage. 240v between Red & Black. 120v between green & black and green & red. 0 volts between yellow & green. 120 v between yellow & black. 120v between yellow & red. I'm thinking yellow must be a neutral and green is ground.

What else can I check in this dryer? Is there a main fuse somewhere?

The switch that is in your door could be shot,I just replaced mine a week ago. It is a little peg usually on the top of door opening that closes the circuit when you close the dryer door to make the circuit complete and opens the circuit when you open the dryer door to shut off the dryer and make the circuit open. You can test the switch with an ohms meter.

Fixed the burnt out interior light. 120v AC okay.
Found the thermal fuse. There's 120 v on each terminal.
Found the door switch (thanks). Voltage okay there too. Hot on one side when door open. Hot on the other side when door is closed.

I haven't tested the on switch yet. It is four wire:
Black wire has 120v
White with red has 120v
Brown has 0 v
Second black has 0 v.
Can I jumper one of these to bypass the starter?
