How do you set outlook so that when you highlight and e-mail it doesn't automatically open an attachment, for security purposes?

In OE you could off the Preview Pane in View > Layout, uncheck Show Preview Pane.

The under Tools > Options, Read tab, uncheck "Automatically download message ..."

Is that what you were looking for?

Yea, I am trying to off the preview pane, but when I click on view, and then layout, the preview pane section won't let me change anything, and none of them are highlited so I don't understand, I guess, why it is still on my computer. I also unchecked "automatically download message." Is it even possible to take the preview pane off in OE?
