My hair has always been dyed/bleached a light but not platinum blonde. This morning, I used Loreal's Natural Match in 8W, Medium Golden Blonde, in order to warm my light blonde color. I have done this before with different products and always had great success, mkost recently with that new 10 minute permanent color. Today, a disaster happened. Instead of a medium golden blonde, my hair turned mostly a medium drabby blonde with what looks like grey or lavender-ish color one third down my shoulder length hair. I am leaving this week for an overseas trip and really need to correct this disaster. The help line at Loreal is closed on weekends, but I need to do the correction this weekend, and don't have the time or money to spend on a professional correction at this time. I still want to have a warm golden blonde if possible. What can I do? Will a temporary coloring product work for at least the next few weeks? Thank you very much for your attention. I just can't imagine how this couild have happened.

Hey honey. I have no idea why this hapenned!

Have you tried a colour remover? You may need to use it several times. Or you can try a detox/clarifying shampoo. The more you use the shampoo, the more it fades the colour. Many members on here have had success with fading hair colour with head and shoulders.

But your best bet would be to see a professional.

If you use a semi permanent colour in a mid golden blone it should get rid of the unwanted tones
