Can anyone help me out please. I have a subuarge pump well. The is what it is doing. When I pushed the reset switch on the kick box it started to click it was the relay. I put a new relay on. The pump started up then shut off, it was the overload switch. I put a new start up compasser on , it started to run for a few secs. And tripped again. I put a new run compasser on it and it ran just a few secs. Morethen the frist time but it burnt up the run compasser. I put parts on it again and it keepes on burning up the run compasser. Someone please let me know want I'm doing wrong. Thank You

Do you mean a submersible pump? What's the brand name, model number and any other information you can give us. Regards, Tom

68fireman,
It sounds like you only speculated that those were the issue when you replaced the start and run capacitors, the relays, and the overload switch. I would have replaced the whole control box, it probably would have been cheaper and really told you if you have another problem.

Check all of the electrical connections. Tighten all lugs where wires connect in your control box.

Check the connections on top of the well too. If there is a junction there, check the wire nuts to be sure they are tight.

If all of that is tight, I would replace the control box as a unit. It could be that by changing one component of a time, that you are actually damaging the new component. Make sure you get the right size box for your pump.
