I'm an over the road truck driver who has a dog with me. The company I hired on with was bought out by a major company. I had my dog with me before they sold the company and was told it wasn't a problem but now I am being given a demand to get the dog out of the truck by Sept 1. I stated that I had no place to leave the dog and was told if I didn't comply I would have to find employement elsewhere. Do I have any rights as a company driver?

You might be better off to start looking for another company.
Do you own the truck or is it the companies?

I am afraid they have the right to establish the rules for their operations. Maybe you can find even better employment elsewhere. Good Luck.

If it is their truck they write the rules. Unfortunately your dog will have to leave the truck. Is this just a no pets at all policy or can you give them a nonrefundable pet deposit?
Some companies will let you keep pets on the road if a hefty pet deposit is paid. There have been too many drivers who have ruined the pets in the trucks for other drivers due to the destructive pets making huge messes out of the truck interiors.
