I have been feeling quite sick lately, and this morning the doctor confirmed that I am in the early stages of preeclampsia. So far I am okay, and the doctor is hoping I can hang on for another 2-3 weeks, but after that, I may be having my baby, early! So if I suddenly disappear from the forum, you guys will know I am having the baby. I have told my husband to come on here and announce the birth, but who knows if he will actually do that! :p
So, if anyone wants to hear about the birth, see a picture or whatever, please PM me or send me an email message through my profile, and I will add you to our address book. When the baby is born Alex is going to send a birth announcement email to everyone in the address book.
Ugh, I am nervous!!

You will be fine. We would love pictures of your little one. You will be fine and of course being nervous is normal. Good luck with everything. I do not know if you have my email address or not? Alex will be too busy and involved probably will forget. LOL. I know I will not be interested in anything else except my wife and baby, whenever the time does come. (:

Dear Chava,
I wish you and the baby to do perfectly well, and to be healthy, I hope that if any of us gets the news, will let all the others know.
How are you doing right now?
I wish you all the best health and an easy and smooth delivery, whenever,
Millie:) :) :)

Thanks Joe and Millie, I believe I have both of your emails. So if either of you are willing to get the news to the rest of the board when the time comes, I would appreciate it. You're right Joe, I don't think Alex will remember, haha.

Just a little update... I've been "lurking" on the site for the last few days, but haven't posted much... I'm having trouble sitting at the computer for long periods (or even short periods, lol) and so I probably won't be on much from now on until after the baby is born and I have recovered.
So far though I am okay and the baby is staying put. If I continue to do okay the doctor will not induce labour for another 2-3 weeks. But they still have it in their minds that the baby needs to come out a bit early.
Anyway thanks for the support guys. I have you all in my address book, and will let you know when the baby is born. :)

Good luck on keeping that little one in the oven for as long as possible. I had this with my oldest daughter and had to be induced a month early... take it easy and when the dr says rest do it! I wish that I had listened. If they want to induce you it's for a good reason and it should be done for the health of your baby and yourself... I hope it doesn't come down to what I went through.. spent almost a week in the hospital... When are you due hun... I know your getting close to time and pray that you can last a little bit longer. Keep us posted... I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the support Myth, I appreciate it! I am not due until June 16, so that's still almost 8 weeks away. But I might have to deliver a month early or possibly even a bit earlier, so I'm hoping to hang on for as long as I can!

I have not been on a lot but I came across you post today and I will keep you in my thought in the coming weeks, and wish you the best. God never deals us more than we can handle, you will be fine. Get a lot of bed rest and stay positive. With my daughter Devan we had pre-eclampsia, toxcemia, and she was born with bradicardia and apnea. Do not panic 15 years later mother and daughter are fine. I am still a nervous wreck but she is fine. (O: sorry... you will be fine, keep a smile on. I will smile for you too. Donna

Thanks Donna... you have been added to my address book, and I will keep in touch. Actually I do come on here every day for very short periods, just not posting much.
And thanks again Millie, yes I am resting a LOT. It's all I do pretty much now! :)

Hey sweety, you've handled a lot coming your way this year, and you'll manage this one just fine. So, you have a new 'instant' family, and the baby is in a hurry to be here too - don't worry, Alex can take care of you and the children, and I know he'll hit that panic button faster than you can blink, so you are in good hands.
Explain it to the kids, and let them help you with the little things in the house, they'll love to be included in all the fuss, it will keep them busy and feeling that they are a part of this big adventure.
Lots of luck to you and yours, with many many hugs!

I'm actually on for a few minutes today, I can barely believe it!
Thanks kp... I'm glad to know my posts are being missed... and I have missed posting, too! :( I'm very excited about my baby, can't wait, although I am still quite apprehensive.
Aqua, I am very happy you posted, anyone can post in my thread, as long as they don't say anything nasty, that's where I draw the line! :p LOL seriously though I know you would never do that... I appreciate your posts a lot. :)

I decided to post this update separately...
As I said earlier, my original due date was June 16, but they have been saying all along how large my baby is, and the last couple of weeks my stomach has gotten really HUGE. This morning I had another ultrasound, and the doctor thinks the due date may have been screwed up a bit. It looks like my baby's due date is actually around May 20 rather than June 16. So that means he will only be 3 weeks early rather than 6 weeks! So we are very relieved about that.
And well... now that he's only 3 weeks early, and I am getting sicker (I have very high blood pressure right now!), it looks like the time has come you guys... eeeek. I am going into the hospital early tomorrow morning and am scheduled for a c section tomorrow afternoon. So my son will be here tomorrow at about 2 pm!!
So I guess this is bye for now, I won't be on again for at least a week. I'm going to try and set up an account for Alex this afternoon, so he can come on here to give an update. But like I said before, I'm not sure he will do that. But he is going to email everyone, that's for sure.
Anyway wish me luck. I am terrified!!

Yay! Both my kids were delivered by c-section. I was right there by my wife's head and yes the drape was up. I'm excited for you. Remember it takes longer to heal so I hope hubby is into it for the help you'll need. The first two weeks are a little hairy for all parents.
Parents:"Who is this little thing?"
Baby: "Man, I was lying pretty in there, who are you big people?"
Parents: "Why is he crying this time?"
But you get through it together and learn to enjoy this little critter.
Cheers!

Thanks Myth. I am home as of this morning. Sore and tired, but I love my baby!! :) :) :)
My parents are here helping out, so basically all I have to do is sit back and admire my cute little guy! :) :) :)
Hope you are doing okay.
