I have a bank & wage garnishment. I have deposited enough money in my bank account to cover the entire amount due, but the garnishment is through August 27th, so my bank says they will hold that money until 8-27 before sending it to the court. But since my wages are going to be garnished, too... will I get the extra money back? How long will that take? I am in Missouri.

You can get what you over pay back, but it will not be easy or fast.

You will have to keep diligent efforts with phone calls and letters until you manage to get everything taken care of.

Again, it will take some time, I'd guess up to 90 days or more to get it all cleared up.
