Hello tafntana,

You can become a British citizen if you have been living in the UK for 3 years, and are married to, or in a civil partenership with a british citizen.

I am not sure how this affects you regarding your sons citizenship.

You say your fiancée is also zimbabwean and only on an indefinite leave status in the UK,

Can your fiancée go to the... Citizens Advice Bureau... being that she is the one in Britain.

There are many of them who are extremely helpful... look them up in the phone book just in case you need an appiontment, and go alone tell them your story, ask them what you wish to know.

If they don't know they will make every effort to find out for you... at no charge

Goodluck

Why your son's mother is just a fiancée? Is there anything behind this?
