I am looking for the formula to calculate 60/40 of hours, that is for every hour (60) of contact time worked there is 40 minutes of non contact time allocated

For example if a staff member works 40 hours per week it would calculate to 24 hours contact time and 16 hours non contact time.

I need to work out how much non contact time is given for someone who is working 20 hours contact and for someone who works 13 hours contact. My calculations don't seem to add up and I know there is a formula but just not sure what it is

(0.6)(total hours per week) = contact time

(0.4)(total hours per week) = noncontact time

or just as easily, if that employee who worked 20 hours contact time HAS to work the other 40% in noncontact time,

(contact time)/(0.60) = total hours...

total hours - contact time = non contact hours

Just multiply total time by .6 or .4 to get contact or noncontact time. Then subtract from total to get the other.
