Hi, I have just ordered a new shower mixer tap from eBay (oops), it has a diverter fitted, can I blank one of the outlets off and just use one outlet (I don't really have a need for a diverter) I hope you can understand this question,
Thanks

Hi Simon,
As I understand it you wish to use a tub and shower valve for just a shower valve. Yes, you can purchase a 1/2" brass plug and a small eoll of Teflon Tape. Simply tape the threads and install the plug in the bottom threaded opening and you have a shower valve. Good luck, Tom

Thanks for the fast answer speedball, its actually a proper shower mixer valve with hidden pipework, in the description it said "one way shower mixer valve" but further on in the description it sates , bottom knob for temperature and top knob for diverter, I am confused, CHROME 1 WAY OVAL THERMOSTATIC SHOWER MIXER VALVE 034 on eBay, also Shower Taps, Shower Plumbing, Bathroom, Home Garden (end time 10-Aug-08 18:40:29 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130245573604)
