:( Hi,
I am taking off an old single valve delta shower.( For bath and shower.)
I have the handle off and the plastic nut but can't turn off the cap without fear of breaking the assembly. I see no set screw holding the cover or cap on.
Ideas?

Don't worry, apply pressure. You won't break anything. Use Channel Locks. Once it moves a bit, it will hand unscrew...

Hey Mikey,
If the cap's #3 and 4 it will unscrew,(see image). More questions? I'm as close as a click. Tom

Thank you.
I did get the cap off, but alas I need a plumber to change out the old valve.
The new Delta assembly came with a different type.
I did manage to bend the copper tubing some without it leaking.
Know any plumbers in south NJ?
