I recently took a blood tes and it return positive for high potasium. What is that mean? Is there any special foods that I need to eat? How bad is this?
Please help! I will take any advice
Are you taking any medications? Some meds, particularly meds for high blood pressure will increase the potassium levels.

You may need to have more magnesium to even out the potasium level.

First : have the lab repeated. Sometimes a difficult blood draw can cause hemolysis, or destruction of the red cells, that can falsely elevate the potassium.
Potassium is an electrolyte, measurable in the blood stream.
Potassium is primarily excreted in the urine.
A high potassium, > 4.9, may indicate poor kidney function or certain hormonal/endocrine conditions, like Addison's.
