One thing with Isneezes link avoid the arginine it actually can cause an outbreak of cold sores.

I do know of a naturopath who treated someone with herpes and said that after a year the virus didn't show up in the blood tests.
I have herpes it is not the end of the world just pay close attention to your body and when you feel an outbreak coming on take a 3 day higher dose of Valtrex. That is what my gyno did for me... but everyone's solution is different.
