The outside fan does not come back on after the cycle. I have replaced the fan capacitor and the unit appeared to work fine. But during the day it quit working. The next morning it started right up and worked for several hours but now again it has stopped. It is a Janatrol? Not sure about that spelling 3 ton unit for a mobile home. Could it be over heating?

Overheating is a possibility and that causes abnormal high pressures. You might try cleaning the condenser coil. Post back with what you find.

Sounds like the motor is shot.

Get a motor of the same horse power and also get a new capacitor of the correct size for the new motor. (do not use the old capacitor).
