I drive a 1993 chevy s10 with a 2.8 v6 manual trans and latly when I press the clutch in it will squeek and feel stiff then when I'm letting it back out it will stick down a little and will jerk the truck. It doesn't stick down long only for half a second. It will do it for a while then all of a sudden it will be fine. But I don't if it's a big deal but id like to get it fixed, wondering if there is a name for it, what needs to be replaced, how common it is, and about how much it would cost? I don't know if it's the clutch that needs to be replaced, I hope not because I just replaced it 3 months ago. Or I don't know if its just the pedal or a spring. Hopefully its not expensive because I'm pretty much poor.

When you replaced the clutch three months ago, did you replace the pressure plate and throw-out bearing? Or just the disc?
Also, the splines where the disc rides, and the clutch fork pivot should have been lubricated. If those aren't moving freely, that could combine to cause the binding that you are describing.
Cost? That will vary significantly from one area of the country to another due to differetn rates being charged from one shop to another.
Who did your clutch? Ask them if the steps that I mentioned above where done.
I hope this helps.
