My grandpa died on Memorial day this year and when I go to my grandma's house he is sitting in his chair. He is there when my Grandma is home. I am not sure if I should try to talk to him. What do I say? I want to talk to him. This has happened a lot. I am 9.

That's really sad and terrible for you to have to go through all that... I'm sorry:( you should talk to him. You don't have to say much. Just whatever you feel. He's you're Grandpa so I'm sure he would be happy even if you said just a few kind words.

Just sit next to him, and say "Hi, I've missed you."
If that's too far, just wave as you pass him, or stop and wave.

Hi Emilee... he's just checking everyone's fine, speak to him if you can like you would on a normal visit, I'm sure your grandma know's he's there even if she cannot see him.Very often young people are more sensitive and can see things that others cannot, my daughter at your age , was the same.
I think you should tell your grandma and maybe you can sit and talk to him together, I am sure she would gain great comfort from knowing you can see him.
I suspect once you ackknowledge him... speak to him like you would normally, he will feel happier knowing that you are all OK and then probably go on.

You said he is there when your Grandma is home, does she see him too? Or is it just you ? Anyway when you see him try and talk to him, and tell him how much you miss him and love him. You are Lucky to see him, how I wish I could see my mother and I can't I miss her so much.
