Hello I have been diagnosed with MS six years ago. They have told me I have foot drop. But I can move my foot up and down when I am on my back. I do suffer with lower back pain, and a inner groining pain by my right thigh that goes down my leg about 6-8 inches. This has been going on for about 2 years. I really don’t think I have foot drop. Does anyone have this problem, or know something about it?

Thank you for your reply. I am almost sure that I don't have foot drop. I believe it is a nerve issue.

You can't see your own foot drop, a physician observing you walk can easily see it... or an educated non-professional.

That is not true, I can see it, I live with it. What I am saying is there is another cause for it. And I believe it is pressure on a nerve. And I believe it can be fixed.

Yes that is right, I don't believe I have it. I have something that is causing it to look that way. Even my doctor feels that maybe so. You see foot drop in most cases does not go away unless another cause is found. But even a greater power lets be know, it can be corrected. I think you for your opinion though.

When you are laying down, of course you can move your foot properly, but upon standing, it doesn't work the same way because you body weight is on it.

Your right, maybe I miss understood it. But it is a nerve problem, they believe is associated with the back pain I am having.
