I am interested in getting some history on the song K-K-Katy from 1918. I have some basic information but would like more.
Also, I am desperatly looking for the music (I have the words) to this song.
My sisters and I are having a 90th birthday party for my mom and this is the year she was born. Thank you, Beth

You can buy a used CD of it at Amazon.com It is included in a 2 disc box set called Always the Ladies/The Gang's All Here.
The song was written by Geoffrey O'Hara in 1917 about Katherine Richardson. It was published in 1918. It was first played at a garden party fund raiser for the Red Cross in Collins Bay on Lake Onterio.

If you mean that you are looking for the sheet music so that someone might play it and maybe others might sing to it, then it would be likely that much older folks who play the piano might have a copy of it. You could check with people at senior type gathering places as well as church groups that are mainly for the senior members of a congregation.

After reading Clough's answer, I think I misunderstood you question. You can purchase the sheet music at www.melodylane.net
