Hi,

My husband, daughter (7months) and I just adopted a 10week old "Breeder Leftover" white schnauzer puppy. I was initially astounded by how well she was doing with house training, even scratching at the door when she needed out. The first 4 days or so were pretty good, not many accidents and the ones she did have we could attribute to us not hearing her at night. She was sleeping in a dog bed in our room in hopes that we would hear her stir and take her out. However they have gotten more frequent, and no longer just at night. She is crate trained, and goes to her crate when we are not home. We decided that it might be best for her potty training and our sanity to crate her at night to avoid accidents. Now she is going in the house pretty much all the time. I take her out for 15-20 minutes every hour or so and she won't go. As soon as we come inside she will relieve herself on the floor right in front of me  . We love our new family member, but are at a loss for how to help her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, we are puzzled but willing to work at it.

This is pretty simple, crate her all night before going to bed if you need to give water replace it with ice cubes instead trust me it helps. 2) instead of walking it for 15 to 20 minutes, try walking for a longer time, right after she gets home crate her again do this for few day and you'll see the results.. if for some reason your dog goes in its crate allow him/her to stay DO NOT REMOVE 'em from the crate as you will teach it how uncomfortable it is. Remember dog in the early ages they were packed dogs, they will try to keep their home as clean as possible..
