I have a major problem with my room mate. I live in Florida and have lived with this guy for two months. There is no Lease; only a verbal agreement and check stubs. This person is disrespectful to me and my belongs! I want him out; the sooner the better. I told him last Friday that he needed to be out by this Friday, (he's paid up until then) He is refusing to leave, saying that he needs more time to find a place. He is 18 years old and I have already talked to his guardians who have said they would welcome him back anytime. Although he has agreed to be out by NEXT Friday, I want him out now. Next Friday is just not soon enough. What can I do, if anything, to make him move home until he can find a better living arrangement for himself? Do I have to give him two weeks notice. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I have told him over the past two months about his responsibilities to me and my home. He has not tried to change his actions knowing the end result would be him no longer being welcomed in my home!

Is this your place you are letting him stay at or a place you are renting?
If you are a renter too then you may need to go through the landlord.

He has to be given a written three day notice and if he still refuses to leave
You have to go to court and file formally and then the sheriff or constable will evict him if he still doesn't leave in the required time
