I say to talk to this person *on the phone* many times to get a better sense of who he/she really is.

I would be very careful about meeting people online. Have you talked to him on the phone? Met him in person? How long have you talked? You don't know he is who he says he is, so how can WE tell you if he's the one for you? If you don't know, we certainly wouldn't. When you meet your soulmate, you will know.

Internet relationships that go Real Life... can work. BUT you need to be VERY VERY CAREFUL!! There can be sooooo many issues.. Since you are not there with them.. they could be married, could cheat.. etc. When you meet, they would rape you, attack you... etc... There are soooo many areas to keep your eye on. BUT, there are a few good guys out there. I met one of them off an online game. Im living with him, and he means sooo much to me. Anyway, Be safe!! And don't rush things!

Assume nothing is as it appears... I would give you odds that 99.99% he isn't the one for you. After all you DON'T know him, or even met him. How do you know he's not really a 76 year old convicted sex offender?

Fact is you don't. It could be a 400 lb lesbian for all you know at this point.

Save the relationship for people you have already met in person.

It's hard to say whether he's the one based on a simple question. You know in your heart what the right thing to do is. I've known people who have actually gotten married and they met on the internet. Just be Careful! Over the internet anyone can make you believe anything they want you to believe. Just use your head.

Been with a guy online for like 16 months now. I webcam-chat with him 3x a week (2-3 hrs each), phone each other 3x a week, he sends me gift once in a quarter, we're meeting in months time, I Don't KNOW YET IF HE'S THE ONE FOR ME. (how I wish though)

I got a friend who MARRIED a guy she met online for the first time they met in person after 16 months of "dating", STILL IM NOT CONVINCED IF THEY ARE THE ONE FOR EACH OTHER. ITS TOO SOON!
