I have a JVC DVD player/VCR recorder-player combo that is about 8 years old. On Wednesday night we had a brief power outage so that I had to reset the clock. Last night I went to insert a DVD to play and the drawer would not open.
Can you tell me what I can do to open the drawer in simple language because I'm not very tech savvy?
Thanks

There should be a teeny weeny hole at the side of the drawer. You insert a paperclip end into this hole and the drawer should open for you. Your player may be fried from the outage. This has happened to me with electronics that were not plugged into a surge protector. When you do get the drawer open and want to test it to see if the drawer is frozen into a nonworking position, please use an old DVD you don't care about as you might not get the drawer open again.

Some don't have holes and may need to be opened up and move a gear or slide a lever to release.
