It should be located in the owners manual. There is usually a label in the owners manual that provides you with this. I have also heard that it can be (of all places) on the back of the stereo. I have had this happen as well when I read the owners manual, the manual indicated that if the stereo is happy it may turn on by itself, whatever that means. If you can't find the owners manual try disconnecting the battery once again and reconnect it sometimes this resets mine without the need of digging out the owners manual. The owner's manual should have a code in it. If you don't have the owner's manual, take your vehicle to a GM dealership with proof that the vehicle is yours(title or registration with your name on it) and personal ID(like your driver's license). They can use the VIN to determine what the lock code is and should be able to help you reprogram the stereo.
