That was nice of your friend to take you out Rebby!

Two towns away??.....eeeeeekkkkkkk!! Sounds like something I would do!! ;)

Sorry Reb, everyone seemed to be gone again when you came in! :( I'm here if you are! I was chattin away on the phone, and got interupted 3 times by Mr #2....urrrrggghhhh!!

I seem to keep missing everyone. Apparently I am also not known for my timing! LOL

Thanks for saying hi... I would have really felt lonesome if you had not. Mr. #2 just isn't giving up, is he? You stay safe sweet friend.

I am a little loopy. I don't do real well after 1:30 a.m. You okay?? Nothing scary? I thought you did a great thing by posting to that gal today with the child. She must feel so isolated even though family is close. You know how I felt, I stood alone when we had the death threats on the kids and all that went with that. We aren't alone but one feels they are when going through such trauma. YOU DID GOOD STARBY1! :p

Hi everyone.

... trouble sleeping again. This is getting annoying.

Rebbie, how long did you drive until you realized you were going the wrong way?

If it makes you feel any better... I was once at a party... I admit, I drank a bit... but after sobering up for 2 hours, I thought I was OK to drive.. . I was not. I realized, after driving for 40 minutes, I was heading towards Alabama.

... checked into a motel.

Hey Sneezy! Oh gosh, I drove probably five miles before it hit me how far wrong I had gone, then came town one and it is not known to be a safe place, town two was no where to be found. I drove further. I saw some lights that looked like a stadium of sorts with lights on! Yahoo! Saw the hwy sign, took the exit, went across the bridge and back on the hwy going the other way! I sure hated to admit to my friend where I was but she was worried. We had a good laugh but I get disoriented at night driving anyway. Nothing looked familiar all the way back home!!

jrebel7
Aug 2, 2008, 12:13 AM
Hey Sneezy, my doctor told me when I can't go to sleep to run in place for three to five minutes, real quick steps, already be ready for bed, then go to bed. He says that as your heart begins to slow down, your body will go to sleep faster. I tried it and it worked.

Does this have merit?? Just a thought. I don't go to sleep easily as you can tell by the hours I am on here.

Starby, you still have your days and nights mixed up, don't you??

You did good too Rebby! I hate hearing when someone is going through stuff like that with abusive men, and death threats!

I'm fine! Mr #2 was really starting to freakin annoy me though. I was talking to Alty, and a private # came up. I wasn't going to answer, but then I did. It was him. I told him I didn't have time to talk to him, and that I was sleeping (a little what lie... oops). I hung up and he called 3 more times! Then Niki started barking. He better not be hanging around my house! I have enough to deal with, with #1!

I hope he realises I know the # to the police dept off by heart at this point... and 911 is pretty handy too! He wouldn't like that! Too damn bad though! I've got more guts than I used to have, and I won't put up with his bull!

Sneezer! I thought you were off getting beauty sleep!

Actually, I try not to exercise before going to bed... gets my adrenaline up... gets me pumped up.

I used to be able to pass out in 30 seconds (really. My record is 27 seconds). But now... I'm not sure what's going on. I'm probably going to check out a health store to pick up some valerian root tomorrow.

jrebel7

Starby, glad you are okay. Are you still on the phone with Alty?? If so, I will bid you and Sneezy a good night's sleep but if you are alone and not on the phone, lets stay in touch until we know #2 is leaving you alone for the night, k??

I used to get lost when I lived in the country with #2. I would get myself turned in circles, and would end up being miles from home with no lights, no clue, and no cell phone! I remember sleeping in my car one night, because I had no idea where I was, and of course the country roads don't have many signs!

I had always had the same experience as you with exercise before bed, I get pumped and ready for the day (which at night is not a good thing! LOL) I wondered if I was just tired that night or if it was because of the fast action in just three minutes, didn't have time to rev me up too much. Don't know. You have so much going on, don't know how you ever sleep. I wish you a fast and multiplied sleep tonight when you do fall asleep! Soft music, deep cleansing breaths, in through the nose to the count of four and out through pursed lipe slowly to the count of six... I am just full of suggestions aren't Must have been that long dark drive, got me revved. LOL

I got off the phone with Alty about a half hr ago! She was coughing so much, and her voice was getting really squeaky!

I don't worry so much about #2 anymore Rebby. He used to be able to control me and tell what to do, and he knew that I would seldom call the cops. Those days are long gone! He knows I would call the cops at the drop of a hat now, and he is very afraid that I will do that. He doesn't want his outstanding reputation to be ruined. I'm more worried about Nigel, and not so much about #2.

(oh, and before when I said #1 before,. I meant #3 (nigel). Geez these #'s screw me up! LOL!

Helloooo all!

Lily's back with me today! Lily's back with me today!

I realized that although she gets a lot more play time at home, she also is getting "untrained"... didn't think that was possible. My parents walk her about 5 times a day, for fear of her peeing on the carpet... and thus, now her pee schedule's off... she used to be able to hold it for about 9 hours... and now, no more than 3 hours or so.

... yikes. Any ideas?

starbuck8
Aug 2, 2008, 04:09 PM
Lilyyyy!. Come here Lily! Yessssss... big kisses Lily!. okay, not the lips Lily... no, no... not the lips... Lily that tickles!

Looks like you just might have you might just have to house train her all over again Sneezer! :( It shouldn't take as long though, because she has learned it before!

Oof. Hello errone. Whew. Long day today.

Lily's just completely out of sorts today. I'm assuming the new apartment isn't helping... but she's just not eating... mostly sleeping...

.. she may be mad at me. As most of you may/may not know... she's like a clingy girlfriend... and earlier, I was walking her and a girl stopped me and we talked for about 10 minutes... and I could tell... lily got really jealous.. . I guess I'll be sleeping in the crate tonight, as I'll be "in the dog house"

Alty
Aug 2, 2008, 07:27 PM
Aw, poor Lily, she missed her daddy. Lily billy goat, don't be mad at Sneezy, he lub, lub, lubs you sooooo much. Big kisses for daddy, come on Lily you can do it, right in his mouth. He doesn't care that you were licking your bum, just give him kisses. Good girl. Does Auntie Alty have to come over? Give Lily pants some hugs and kisses? Maybe I should bring one of my bunny's, you two can play.

Sneezy, she'll adjust again, she just missed you. :)

ISneezeFunny
Aug 2, 2008, 07:30 PM
Bah. She's just sitting in her crate. Doesn't want to come out and play.. . she does this. I'll give her some time to adjust... she'll probably climb in bed with me later when I'm sleeping... then go back in her crate before I wake up JUST to spite me.

... psh, women.

Alty
Aug 2, 2008, 07:34 PM
Has she ever peed in your slippers? My dog used to do that when he was mad at me. I would usually let it go, I understood why he did it, but one time he peed on my brand new, beautiful, leather, high heel, boots, they cost $125.00. I was 16, I had to work hard for that money and I hadn't even worn the darn boots yet. The pee wouldn't come out, it stained the leather. Boy was that pup in trouble. ;)

ISneezeFunny
Aug 2, 2008, 07:35 PM

Poor Lily! Sneezy, can you fit in the crate? You might have to sleep there tonight while Lily gets the whole bed! LOL! Princess Lily is home, and is snubbing her nose at Daddy, just to put him in his place again! Hee Hee!

Alty

Hey Starby, how are you doing?

I can just see Princess Lily walking around, her little nose in the air, and every time Sneezy says something to her she turns around, snorts and walks away. Lily has poor Sneezy wrapped around her little paw. ;)

starbuck8
Aug 2, 2008, 07:41 PM
I was just giving Niki her "Princess" meal, that I usually try to give her a few times a week! She got chicken, corn and gravy, mixed of course with her normal food. She's a happy camper right now.

Are you feeling any better Alty? I heard you slept a bit better!

Oh, and you liked my letter eh? I was getting madder and madder and madder! LOL!

Alty
Aug 2, 2008, 07:46 PM
Feeling a tiny bit better, but still pretty sick. The neocitrin really helped last night, I was actually able to breath a bit. The nasal spray my doc gave me is great too, unfortunately I'm only allowed to use it once a day and it only lasts around 8 hours, so that sucks. Hopefully I'll feel even better tomorrow.

Right now Cotton is hoping around in the basement exploring. Him and Indy are sniffing noses, it's sooooo cute. ;)

I just learned something new Sneezer! Stop laughing! :p I'm watching a show on TV, and I've just learned why you shouldn't crush your medication, and then take it in water or something else. Interesting! I would have never thunk!. not that I've ever crushed any of mine!

ISneezeFunny
Aug 2, 2008, 07:51 PM
Haha starbs. No, it's actually a pretty common misconception. Some drugs (tylenol... aspirin.. etc) are OK... but yeah, a lot of drugs are time-released drugs... especially prescription drugs, and crushing them will make the body absorb them a LOTTT faster...

starbuck8
Aug 2, 2008, 07:59 PM
Well what they just explained, was that a lot of drugs have "filler", along with the actual drug. If you are taking them over a long period,. like pain killers... if you crush them, the filler can somehow get into your lungs, and over a period will cause a fatal heart attack. I'm watching a show where someone was murdered this way.

Alty
Aug 2, 2008, 08:01 PM

LOL... Silly Sneezer! This guy was a Dr. and he murdered his wife that way. Well not exactly that way, although it was explained about the filler and taking some meds crushed and in water, has the same effect, but it would take longer.

This guy's wife was having bad headaches, so he was crushing Oxycodone, and injecting it. She died within weeks of hearfailure. They found the filler in her lungs, and were eventually able to find the Dr. guilty.

Poutine is a heart attack on a platter, but sooooo worth it. It's yummy and was the one thing I had a constant craving for when I was pregnant with Jared. Didn't help that I worked in a high rise with a restaurant downstairs that makes the best poutine I've ever had. Maybe that's why I gained so much weight when I was pregnant. Hmmm, something to think about. ;)

... I usually eat it and then pray that I don't die that night.

Starbs, I have no idea why my mom needed a taser, as my parents are inseparable. I don't think they've spent 8 hours apart. Nevertheless... just ordered one.

... a MILLION volts.

... A MILLION VOLTS?! Isn't 100k volts enough to debilitate someone and render them useless? They're usually on the floor writhing and wetting themselves at 100k...

... they made a MILLION VOLT-taser.

...god, I want something like that now. They have a pub down the street and they call it "pub fries"...it's fries, mozzarella cheese, bacon chunks, and jalapenos...

...I usually eat it and then pray that I don't die that night.

starbs, I have no idea why my mom needed a taser, as my parents are inseparable. I don't think they've spent 8 hours apart. Nevertheless...just ordered one.

...a MILLION volts.

...A MILLION VOLTS?!?!? isn't 100k volts enough to debilitate someone and render them useless? They're usually on the floor writhing and wetting themselves at 100k...

...they made a MILLION VOLT-taser.

...bravo, america. bravo.

That's the one I want Sneezer! That's the one! I might get arrested, but that's the one! I'll show those guys not to mess with the Starbster!

I like my pepper spray mixture, but a taser is quicker! ;) :D... and I would find a little enjoyment out of seeing him wet himself too!! :D :p

Someone mentioned an interest in archeology earlier and can't recall who it was. Perhaps Stringer or M?? Anyway, wondered if whoever it was had viewed the following thread:

https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/archaeology/anyone-forum-active-hunting-arrowhead-indian-artifacts-158227.html

I posted some pieces on the thread that I have found and others did also.

Kind of off subject of the Park but didn't want to forget to mention it. :)

Just a quick question here...

It seems that you are getting "greemies" left and right lately and I'm glad for you all...

I know that you don't get them on "Lounge Sites" but I have been a member since July 2007 and I have about 77 or 78 positive "green" responses from advice and answers I have given on many posts... and I still have only one "greenie"? And I got that about 7 or 8 months ago. I PMed one of the Administrators and was told, very nicely I might add, that they are not given for Lounge responses... but (read above)... oh well, maybe I just fell through the crack... who knows.. Just wondering.. :) :)

There.. . actually, I didn't give you a greenie because I like you. I actually thought it was pretty good... plus, I learned a little from it.

I think I'm heading out y'all. (... can you imagine an asian kid saying y'all?)

As for feeling better, a teeny bit, but still not great. I just took another antibiotic, one more to go and I'm done. Hopefully this little infection will leave soon, otherwise I will be forced to take drastic measures, don't ask what, because I don't know yet. ;)

It had a super long cord so that she could walk all around the house, but once in a while she'd get hung up on something, forcing her to re-trace her steps, only to find that she had walked around the coffee table or something else and forgotten to walk back around to untangle herself. She joked that now she knew how our dog felt when he walked around a tree and got himself tangled.

Aw, poor Sneezy.

Want me to cheer you up?

Things to ponder

Why are there flotation devices under plane seats instead of parachutes?

Why are cigarettes sold in gas stations when smoking is prohibited there?

Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing?

If you can't drink and drive, why do you need a driver's license to buy liquor, and why do bars have parking lots?

Do you need a silencer if you are going to shoot a mime?

Thank you so much for sharing, dear. She's beautiful.

I sent it out to all my friends and family. The sax in background isn't bad either.

This made my day. Been a little under the weather - my monster is growing and taking a bit too much oxygen from me lately. Hoping to get a portable oxygen unit soon. This heat is getting me so forgive me if I don't visit here too much for a few days.

Still here, and love to you all,

Love the cake Rebbie. Hey, my daughter's turning 6 on August 26, and my son will be 10 on September 4, any cake ideas? If you need some info, here it is;

My daughter loves anything pink, princess, ballet, girlie, girlie. :)

My son loves soccer, cars, video games and anything boyish, boyish. :)

Keep in mind that any ideas you have would need to be followed by step by step instructions, because I can bake, I am artistic, but making a cake like you did, I have absolutely no idea how. :)

Aug 4, 2008, 08:32 PM
Thank you M! I am glad you enjoyed seeing it.

Yes Alty, I have tons of ideas! You did see the Castle Cake... that is one idea. I will post more when I find photos. Actually, the computer cake was easy as soon as I figured out how to cut it and piece it. Many cakes I have done, I do with just cake from a 9x12 square corner pan. I use Wilton pans. They are aluminum and square corners, not rounded. I have made little trains, this computer cake, an airplane, etc. just from cutting pieces and putting them together. Instructions would be easy if you have a few icing bags or you can make a funnel with wax paer and cut tip for the icing tip to fit in. Three basic tips work just fine for most cakes. I will most more later and if you see any you are interested in, let me know. :)

Alty

Thanks Rebbie. I'd love to make a really special cake for the kids. I usually bake their cakes but they're just ordinary iced cakes with the kids names and happy birthday. Something special and unique would be great, I know the kids would love it.

I can't believe it's August already. I have to get both kids their back to school supplies, pay busing fees, school fees and then of course both their birthdays. August and September are expensive months. :(

jrebel7
Aug 4, 2008, 08:46 PM
I will have to go through photos and find some of my cakes so may be a few days but still have time since Aug. 26th is not quite here yet. My husbands birthday is tomorrow. Growing up, he only had one birthday cake ever so of course I had to go overboard for him through the years!! Although the kids loved them, I think they sort of took them for granted but I enjoyed doing them. I made an airplane cake for my brother when he got his pilot's license! He wouldn't cut it!! They put it in the freezer, kept it a year, then got it out and enjoyed it! That was a sweet compliment but I say, bake it, decorate it, enjoy it and it's a done deal!! LOL

Alty
Aug 4, 2008, 08:58 PM
I agree, although I'd have a hard time cutting it up as well. Your castle cake was a work of art, but you'll always have the pictures after it's gone, right. :)

Now if only I can decide what presents to buy the kids, I'll be all set. :)

Eh, I'm just whining. Feel like being whiny today ;)

Studying's going fine. Just banging it out.

Restaurant... no word, but... it takes a couple of weeks, so no worries.

I think I'm just cranky... haven't had much sleep lately. Had trouble falling asleep... physically, I'm exhausted, but when I lay down, nothing. I used to be able to fall asleep in 30 seconds. (hc calls it "passing out" and not "falling asleep"... eh, semantics).

But lately, I lay down... say... 2am... and nothing. I've tried drinking, and it's helped a bit, but again, it's more like "passing out drunk".

Went to the doc, gave me a sample of ambien... but I'm not a huge fan of drug-induced sleep (like drinking isn't... ). I've always gotten about 3 - 5 hours of sleep a night since high school (explains my height) but that was never the problem, at least I could fall asleep whenever I wanted to. Not so much lately. If I'm lucky, 2 hours. If not... oh boy.

Alty
Aug 4, 2008, 10:28 PM
Well you're under allot of stress lately, the Mcats are almost here, you've been studying non stop, you have a restaurant deal in the works, Lily just came home, is it any wonder that you can't fall asleep?

Here's a little trick I learned long ago, it works for me, maybe it will work for you. When you lay on you bed picture your toes in your head, picture all of the energy in your feet leaving through your toes, concentrate, visualize it, then move on to your legs, waist, chest, arms, hands, head, with each one visualize the energy draining out. It helps you relax, helps you to not think about all the things going on in your life, just concentrate, see if it works. :)

ISneezeFunny

Forget zen meditation.

Alty's "your energy (or soul) is seeping through your body" meditation.

I'll definitely give that a try tonight :)

And how are YOU feeling? Your body feeling as sexy as your voice?

Alty
Aug 4, 2008, 10:32 PM
Let me know if it works for you. Works for me every time, I'm usually asleep before I get to my waist. :)

ISneezeFunny
Aug 4, 2008, 10:46 PM
I've actually thought this through and have realized that I've never "fallen asleep" (thanks hc... for that... instigating thought). I've always passed out.

... how the heck do you fall asleep?! I've heard people that just lay down, and "swirl into oblivion"... what the heck?

This is my idea of "sleep":

My head touches my pillow. I close my eyes. Black-out. 30 seconds... 1 minute tops.

Alty
Aug 4, 2008, 10:53 PM
Wow, I wish. I am a vivid dreamer, that's how I usually fall asleep, I think about something I enjoy and act out a little scenario in my head, usually I fall asleep within 5 minutes of that and continue dreaming about it throughout the night. Yep, love my dreams. ;)

When I have allot on my mind I can't usually hold a dream in my head, it gets pushed out by my worries, that's when I use the method I told you about. Works every time. :)

I hope CM finds a tattoo she likes, personally I love the chinese symbols and the symbolism of the cherry blossom in Japan. I am getting my second tattoo in the winter, I want three flowers, two in full bloom to represent my two kids, and one that hasn't bloomed to represent the baby I lost. I've thought about it long and hard, because it would be a constant reminder of the miscarriage, but I'm constantly reminded of it anyway, this way I have something to represent that child, something is better than nothing. I hope that doesn't sound depressing.

ISneezeFunny
Aug 4, 2008, 10:57 PM
Not depressing... more beautiful. I like it. I always wanted a tattoo... but nothing ever fancied me too much, and I figured if nothing really fancied me, then I shouldn't jump into it. Perhaps later in the future.

... I don't dream. Yes, biologically, we all dream... in that case, I never remember it. Last time I had a dream was... uh... 8th grade I think.. . 9 years ago? Yikes.

jrebel7
Aug 4, 2008, 10:58 PM
I lost a baby also Alty. It never leaves. What I try to do is celebrate the life that was on it's way to us. (I edited this so it reads better. I don't think the first part made sense the way I wrote it at first.)

I hope that doesn't sound strange. I mean, when I lost my dad and my nephew, I celebrate their life, not losing them. I try to do the same with my baby.

Maybe I shouldn't have jumped in here tonight. I am a bit melancholy also.

Aug 4, 2008, 11:08 PM
Of course you should jump in Rebbie, you are always welcome.

It does stay with you forever though, doesn't it. It will be three years September 3 that I lost the baby. Well, to me it was a baby, I was only 3 months pregnant, but to me it's a baby as soon as I find out I'm pregnant. The baby actually died at 10 weeks, I went for an ultrasound at exactly 12 weeks only to be told that the baby was gone, go home, rest. I started hemorraghing that night, but I though nothing of it, though it was just my body miscarrying the baby. Twelve hours later after a night of passing clots the size of my fist, and no longer being able to stand on my own or remember my own name, Wiggy rushed me to the hospital. It was the scariest and most painful thing I've ever been through. The rushed me into emergency, I passed out, remember waking up to a room full of people all poking, prodding, screaming, push that, check this... at one point I asked a nurse if I was going to die, she said "I hope not". It ended with an emergency D & C, and that was it, no more baby.

Sorry, I don't know why I told that story, maybe because the 3 year anniversary is almost here.

Sorry Sneezy, don't mean to gross you out. :(

Everyone, I need your help, and I need it yesterday.

My daughter found a baby bird on the sidewalk in front of our house. It has almost all it's feathers, just the head isn't yet covered and of course some of the feathers under the wings etc. I think it may be a chickadee, not sure though. It has a broken wing and I have no idea were the nest is, even if I did, the mother would most likely reject it, because of the wing.

So, it's in a rubbermaid container on top of my heating pad. I've raised baby birds before, but never a wild bird and I have no idea what to feed this little one.

I have a picture, but it's not very good and the flash scares him/her, so I don't want to take another. Any help would be apprecitated, I'd like to keep this little one alive.

Please, anybody, anything?

Nope, automatic flash Sneezy. I've done some research though, it's a yellow breasted finch, probably around 4 days old.

Good news, I got it to eat a little bit, going to try again in 1/2 hour. Dog food, mushed up, that's what my Uncle said and it's been confirmed by many, so that's what the little peeper is getting.

Hopefully it works out, I hope I can keep him alive (yes him, because of the coloring). We'll see, all I can do is try. Wish me luck all. :)

I'm not doing too hot alty. Having a rough day.

...so I'm lashing out on AMHD-ers. It's ok. they had it coming. ...a 12 year old just asked what she should do on a date...at the movies...with a 16 year old.

...I'm not having kids. nope.

Hi folks. How you doing?

Sneezy, I can top that one.. just read a thread from a mother of three teens (2 boys and 1 girl) who asked how she should ask her daughter if she is PG. She 'knows' her kids have sex, but has never had the 'birds and bees' talk with them. She does plan on it now, though... I wonder what they ever talked about while growing up, DUHHHH, like nice weather, what do you want to eat, when are you coming home tonight, etc?? And this was not a joke - really sad.

Alty, honey, I hope you took the birdie to the vets or a shelter - they have special nutrition for little ones like that.

Start.. welcome back - hope your vacation was super.

Stringer... miss you too.

Well, got to go get some sleep and see a few more doctors tomorrow - cross your fingers for me.

Love and virtual hugs to you all,

Got Squeakers to eat, lots, when he's hungry he really opens up his mouth. Definitely a finch, so this shouldn't be too hard, I've hand raised baby finches before, albeit pet finches, but how different can they be? He's fiesty, I hope that he survives, I'll keep you all updated. :)

I also think that tattoo of the three Sakura blossoms is a touching idea. I lost two boys at 5months (one before my daughter and one after) and I still remember the loss as if they were yesterday. I keep thinking of what they would be like all grown up men now.

Us? Sneezy, you aren't included in that, you'd be a great dad, not that I'm rushing you in to it or anything. ;)

Got to go make some dinner for the kids, back later. :)

So true, and those that would make great parents don't get the opportunity. Sad.

Night,night, all, C.U. tomorrow.

Bye momma c! Bye alty!

I just realized that I missed the deadline for moving my test back by a week... which means I have 10 days.

I'm out studying again... someone make sure I'm still alive in about 6 hours.

I have the perfect solution! What is your favorite kind of cake and icing? I must know before I can proceed on this venture!!

I am late joining everyone... was out of town today and just got back a bit ago.

Ok, Starby, next, I need to know your favorite kind of cake and icing. I will explain why later!! :p

Chery, I wish you the best of care, comfortability, peace in your heart, strength in your body and joy in your heart as you see your doctors tomorrow! I pray the doctors will be "right on" on their care and treatment of you and that they will be in tune to your needs as you visit with them about your care. Love and Hugs!

Hi folks. How ya doin??

Sneezy, I can top that one.. just read a thread from a mother of three teens (2 boys and 1 girl) who asked how she should ask her daughter if she is PG. She 'knows' her kids have sex, but has never had the 'birds and bees' talk with them. She does plan on it now, though..... I wonder what they ever talked about while growing up, DUHHHH, like nice weather, what do you want to eat, when are you coming home tonight, etc????? And this was not a joke - really sad.

Alty, honey, I hope you took the birdie to the vets or a shelter - they have special nutrition for little ones like that.

Start.. welcome back - hope your vacation was super.

Stringer... miss you too.

Well, gotta go get some sleep and see a few more doctors tomorrow - cross your fingers for me.

Love and virtual hugs to you all,
Momma C.

Miss you also Chery...

I will cross anything I can if it makes you feel better my good friend.:)

Ok, now bear in mind, this was done many years ago when the duck held such a place of honor all alone... my daughter had two pet ducks... Princess Tia and Ducky Lucky, well, Duckly Lucky was my son's but for her birthday, she wanted a duck cake so this is the duck cake complete with hand made placemats!!

Ok, now, keep in mind, we are not approaching this cake in quite the same manner as we have Stringer and the Duck to manage... I'm still working on it. Haven't heard from the duck yet on the kind of cake she likes best. I have to have that information before I can continue to formulate my plan!! ;)

I'm still sniffly, still coughing, but usually only at night. Other than that, I guess I'm okay, at least I'm not dead, so that's a bonus. :);)

The baby bird has eaten twice now, and well, I hope this means it will survive. The only concern now is it's wing, and I also noticed dried blood on one of his legs, and he keeps it curled up against his body, I hope it's okay. If the wing doesn't heal then I'll keep him, but he would need the use of at least one leg in order to sit on a branch or perch. This poor little guy has been through allot in his short life. Age guess would be around 10 days, give or take one day.

Sydney's ready to come out of the tub, I'll be back in around 1/2 hour.

Be good. Who am I kidding, you are good when I'm not around. ;)
