I have a Dell computer hooked up to DSL. I added a wireless router so I could use my laptop. Everything has worked fine since the hookup (which has been at least a year). Suddenly, we came back from a week long trip and I find that I cannot connect to the Internet. In the taskbar, it shoes that I am connected at 100 kbs, but nothing (updates, browsers, etc.) can connect.

Remove your Wireless network connection, reboot and recxreate it.

In regards to my first post, I forgot to mention that my laptop (wireless) has no problem connecting while the main computer cannot. Also, the main connection shows 100 mbps (not kbps) and the laptop is at 54 mbps.

Probably because your laptop is farther away from the wireless motem,

Can you try another cable and port on your router? I would eliminate those two problems first before you dive into the OS.
