Okay.. I started my last period jun.7th it was a normal 7 day long period I got off on the 13th. On the 11th day after my period I started spotting blood.I was having sex right after my period to risk becoming pregnant.I always practice safe sex but I wanted to be exta safe since it was before ovulation.the spotting lasted only about 30mins to an hour and it was very light much lighter than my usual periods.on July 4th I started spotting again but this time I was cramping as well, I actually thought I was on my period but then it was gone in I say 2 hours just like that. Once again July 17th I was experiencing light bleeding that lasted 2 days and also during this time I was experiencing abdominal pain,it becomes very sharp pain if I breathe in very hard.I made an appointement with the doctor and after taking a urine test they never came up with a valid answer they just went off their assumptions about my pain.I figured that if I was indeed pregnant and by this time I had been late about a week then they would tell me if I was pregnant.but they did not tell me I was pregnant they only told me I had white blood cells in my urine which was probably form the light bleeding that probably trickled it.in the end they diagnosed me with Gastrits.but anyway the light bleeding I was having once again stopped. Since I am very young I don't expect my period to come evry 28 days. I usaully take up to 34 days to come on but its been 36 days since my last period so I'm extra worried. I don't take birth control so I don't know what else would explain the in between period bleeding.and since I'm always careful when it comes to sex I don't know how I could be pregnant.

Can someone please bestow your knowledge upon me.. LOL

Seriously help.. THANX

Hi there.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like your last official period began on June 7th. You also said that it has been 36 days since your last period, but the count doesn't make sense to me. Time between periods begins at the start of your period, not when it ends. On that note, today you would be about 42 days from your last official period.

You said that you were protected during sex. Was your protection in the form of a condom? Did you check it for leakage?

Some light spotting can be perfectly normal, especially during ovulation. I have had periods come significantly late (even a couple of weeks late) even though I usually have a very regular cycle. It's stressful. I would suggest you go out and buy yourself a home pregnancy test. That could help to settle some of your concerns for now. Still, read the box carefully. You're not likely to get a false positive, but in some cases a negative result can come even if you're pregnant if the test is taken too early.

I didn't understand this part of your post:

"i was having sex right after my period to risk becoming pregnant."

I might not have understood some of your information. If so, please clarify in another post.

I might be reading your information wrong. If so, please post to clarify.

First and foremost thank you for answering my post I will try to clarify as much as I can

Alrighty... when I said my last period started Jun.7th and it lasted 7 days which means it ended on the 13th of Jun. the 13th of June was indeed 36 days ago. Okay and when I said that I had sex after my period meaning I had sex on the 16th (which was 2 or 3 days after my period) I did it that early after my period because I didn't want to risk getting pregnant and what I mean by that is I know I wouldn't be ovulating. Usually during ovulation your more prone to get pregnant so I decided to have sex before ovulation. The week after I had sex I started spotting blood(the week that I had sex was the 16th-21st)and on jun.24th I started spotting.I hope that this clarification of my last post will do some good
Thankz once again

Okay, this is very important: time between periods begins at the START of your period, meaning the day it begins and not when it ends. This is done for everybody. This would mean that your last official period was in fact about 42 days ago.

Most women's cycles run 28 days. In such a case, ovulation occurs somewhere in the middle, say on the 14th day, and continues for a couple of days. It IS possible to get pregnant by having sex at the completion of your period. Cycles are not always like clockwork, and ovulation can most certainly occur earlier than usual, just as it can occur later than usual. Sperm can live inside of YOU for up to a week (you will find other places that say up to 5 days). So sex can most certainly cause pregnancy if the ovulation has come early.

This comes from WikiAnswers:

"It is a fact that sperm can live up to 4-5 days in your body, contrary to anything else you may have heard or read. In addition to this fact, the egg released can live between 12-24 hours. Therefore, your fertile period starts approximately 4-5 days PRIOR to ovulation and ends 12-24 hours after ovulation. If you do the math, it is possible for some woman to be fertile for as many as 7 days. You may have heard you can only get pregnant one or two days a month...SO NOT TRUE!!! You may only ovulate that long, but with the life of sperm and the life of the egg, your fertile time can be much longer."

You said, "usually during ovulation your more prone to get pregnant so i decided to have sex before ovulation." I would say that having unprotected sex or a faulty moment in any contraceptive during ovulation will come pretty close to assuring pregnancy in a fertile woman.

You said that you were protected during sex. Was your protection in the form of a condom? Did you check it for leakage?

If I were you, I would definitely get a home pregnancy test today. It will do wonders for calming your fears if you're not pregnant.

How old are you? Have you noticed anything unusual with your body? Changes in appetite (not related to the stress of your missing period)? Augmented sense of smell, etc.

In any case, it looks like you need to get proper and precise information regarding periods and sexual activity right away. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of this. You can find a ton of this information from reputable sites online. Planned parenthood has a vast array of answers and brochures you can read, and they're always available to answer these kinds of questions. If you're not pregnant this time, this will be an imperative move to avoid any potentially unwanted pregnancy in the future.

I am not a professional in women's health, but I do pay close attention to these things. I didn't want you to have to wait for someone else to post because I know how stressful this can feel. Let's hope we get an expert and some other experience in here to give you advice.

I understand that the 36 days is from when you finished your period, but just to reiterate what linnealand mentioned, generally days between cycles are counted from the first day of your last period until the start of the next. Are there normally about 34 days between cycles? If so, you are just a little passed that so it could be you will just be late this month.
Having sex a few days after your period ends does not guarantee you are safe... if you happen to ovulate a bit early, you may actually be timing it just right for a pregnancy.
Did they determine the gastritis by any other means besides your white blood count?
The between bleeding could have been due to ovulation, hormone changes, infection (which would account for the white blood count)... a number of possibilities, including the potential for pregnancy.
Give it another week and see what happens with your period... if it still doesn't show up, try another pregnancy test. This month may just be off and you might find your period resumes next month.
