Hello Hitman

You have to do some checking :

Either the sound board, the cable, or the speakers are faulty.

Take the connector out of the computer audio socket. Put speaker volume on high. Touch the connector contacts one by one : do you hear hum on each channel?
If so : the speakers and amplifier and cable are working, so the sound board is faulty.
Check the board installation (if appropriate), or repair / replace the soundboard.

If not so : check the cable to the amplifier. Some speakers use a cable with a connector at both sides : if so : check cable. Replace if possible. If the cable is fixed permanently to the first speaker, you have to open that speaker, and check the points where the audio cable is connected to, and do the same check as above. If you hear hum, the cable is faulty and requires replacement. If not : the amplifier is faulty. Either repair, or replace the entire speaker system.

If you need more info : put your findings here, and contact me by private mail (click on my handle), and I'll be back here to comment.

Success !

Try a set of headphones to verify sound from computer.

Alos, just check to make sure that the sound is not muted in sound devices in the control panel

If not muted and tried the headphones and still no sound,
Click start, settings, control panel, system, hardware tab and click device mgr

Look for any yellow marks next to any sound devices, if so, right click an it and choose unistall - slose all windwos and restart computer

On startup, windows will find sound device and attempt to install a sound driver, check sound when windows starts
