Only if they agree, have you tried to sell it, often they will want to see you have made every effort to sell it, even present them with short sale offers ( less than is owed) they may turn them down, but I know two lenders that will not even discuss other options unless you have had the home for sale listed with a real estate agent for at least 4 months.

Also to be honest why should they if you can't sell it?? They will add interest, late charges, and if when they latter foreclose they come after you for the balance?
