I used a washable box color on my hair, which is normally dirty blonde more towards light brown. It was supposed to be brown with red. It is ALL red. It is too bright against my scalp and face. How do I speed up the fading process without bleaching or stripping. The only thing I can think of is to dye it brown now.

You can use a clarifying shampoo. Use it regularly, the more you wash with it, the more the colour will fade. It will dry your hair out there though, so always condition afterwards.
